South of France
Hailing from Denver, CO, this dynamic duo of Jeff Cormack and Kelly Lueke has put together an awesome debut album. South of France is a band that makes you think of summer, no matter what time of year it is...
The 60s style guitar, the reverb-ish vocals (both male and female), and the indie pop feel make you want to grab a surfboard and head to the beach.
The songs are well written and well executed. There’s a good reason this act has already been featured in some high profile ‘up-and-coming’ media outlets. (here is a full list)
Their 2012 album, Another Boring Sunrise, has been called a “must buy”, “great new music by a great new band”, and “gorgeous album from front to back”.
Check out these 2 awesome sample songs listed below:
They’re self described as “Melodic noise pop influenced by everything on planet earth”.
So If you’re looking for some new music this summer, you must check out ‘South of France’. It mixes the perfect combination of rock, sun, beach, skinny jeans, pop, great musicianship, Wayfarers, reverberating vocal tracks......etc.
Don’t miss these guys!
